Planning Your Visit
Initial Visit/Evaluation
Initial visits are 90 minutes.
We’ll start by sitting down in a space that’s comfortable for you to discuss your symptoms, concerns and medical history.
Next, we will work through an external physical exam by looking at how you move and how you engage and control your muscles.
If necessary and after you’ve given verbal consent, we’ll assess your pelvic floor via an internal (vaginal/rectal) examination.
We will begin treatment on your first visit, which may include manual therapy, postural and muscular reeducation, body mechanics and functional mobility training, patient education and exercise.
Our visit will conclude by explaining clinical findings and discussing an appropriate plan of care in order to meet your needs.
Follow-up Visit
Follow-up visits are 60 minutes.
We will check in with you on how you’re feeling and progressing, answer any questions you have and determine if there is anything new we need to address.
The majority of our time will be focused on providing 1-on-1 care that is specific to your unique needs and giving you the tools to continue your treatment until our next visit.
What do I Need?
For in-home visits, we ask that you have a private space in your home for the treatment table.
We usually need a pillow, a sheet or towel, and access to a sink and trash can.
We’ll bring the treatment table and all other necessary equipment.
